A CDI unit usually either works or fails
completely. It should not work well sometimes
then poorly others. Intermittent failure might
be heat related, but then it shouldn't miss, it
should just plain quit.
Look for something else. I tend to suspect
fuel starvation when you run OK to start,
then miss after a while, especially at
higher speed.
